Battledome TCG 25th Anniversary Edition Preview - Silver Pets

Upper Deck has launched their preview campaign for the upcoming 25th Anniversary expansion of the Neopets Battledome TCG! Follow them on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram for weekly card reveals from them and from members of the community up until the set launches in November. Upper Deck will also be hosting weekly twitch streams where they discuss that weeks reveals and share even more!

Neopets Battledome TCG - Banned and Limited Announcement

Today, Upper Deck shared some previews of the upcoming 25th Anniversary Expansion of the Neopets Battledome TCG as well as made their first announcement related to Banned/Limited Cards.

Effective November 1st, 2024, Naia will be banned from Organized Play.

The development team has decided to ban Naia for a handful of reasons. The most glaring problem that has become evident over the first couple months of the game is the overwhelming value that Naia brings an opportunity cost of zero. Additionally, we have received sufficient player feedback about the negative gameplay experience due to the non-engaging nature of Naia. It is not uncommon for games to be decided by a turn 1 Naia into Rainbow Paint Brush. For these reasons, Naia is banned (effective November 1, 2024).

Why now? Originally, the development team wanted to wait until the next expansion to make a ban announcement. However, due to her performance in both competitive and casual settings, we felt that moving this ban announcement up was the best option for the health of the current metagame and overall enjoyment of players.

As for the limited list, there are a few cards on our radar but nothing we feel needs addressed at the moment. As the card pool grows, so does the potential for powerful interactions with preexisting cards and we are always considering this during the development process. In the meantime, we will continue to keep an eye on the metagame, player sentiment, and tournament results to help inform future banned and limited decisions.

The Upper Deck team will continue to monitor game play and will make their next Banned/Limited update in early 2025.

Neopets to attend gamescom asia with new merch!

New Upper Deck 25th Anniversary Prints

Upper Deck has just launched two new limited edition gallery prints celebrating Neopets 25th Anniversary!

Both feature the same artwork and are hand numbered. The regular edition print is limited to 250, and the variant print is limited to just 100 and features holographic foiling!
